I can tell you this:
I’ve grown up a lot since last year.
No I don’t mean taller (not that I need to be) or in physical skills…since I still can’t cook a decent/filling entree for myself for dinner. Haha. Anyway, I’ve grown up a lot mentally, for my whole thought process has changed since last year.
One of the most important lessons that I learned this year is that if something goes wrong, something isn’t up to par, or something isn’t what you imagined, it really isn’t the end of the world. It’s what I’ve failed to realize for the past 20 years. But now I know, as long as you do your best, regardless of the results, you did what you could. If it doesn’t work out or turn out the way you imagined…then so be it.
However, let me emphasize, you DO have to try. As painfully frightening it is to take a risk, or to possibly have something result in failure, you’ll learn that everything you do will come out worthwhile, with success or with defeat.
It just makes life simpler that way.
